IFS 2009 –Details of Exam Structure and List of HPOs Where Forms are Available

UPSC invites applications for IFS 2009, Indian Forest Service Examination.

Eligibility

(i) Age limits :

21-30 years as on 1.7.2009. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice).

(ii) Educational Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree of a recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physcs, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Enginerring or an equivalent qualification [Para 3(iii) of Notice].

(iii) No. of permissible attempts :

Four [Seven attemps of OBCs and no limit for SCs/STs (Para 3 (iv) of Notice)]

(iv) Fee :

Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only)

(No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled only)

Scheme of examination:

The written examination consisting of the following papers :–

Paper II – General Knowledge

Paper III - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of the optional subjects below. Each subject will have two papers.

JIPMER Podicherry – MBBS Entrance Exam 2009

JIPMER, one of the leading Medical Institutes of India, announces admissions to MBBS Programme for the year 2009.

Mode of selection :

The Institute selects students through a written admission test followed by a personal interview. The weighed score of qualifying examination, admission test and personal interview is the basis of selection on merit. Indian applicants called for admission test can claim sleeper-class, round-trip fare on production of original travel documents. Local travel cost is not reimbursed. Foreign applicants fulfilling the admission requirements are exempted from the admission test.
