TNEA 2009 – B.Arch. Admissions

Applications are invited for admission to 5 Year (10 Sem.) B. Arch. Degree Programme offered at

Seats in B. Arch. Degree Course in University Department of Anna University Chennai in the School of Architecture and Planning Campus.

Seats in B.Arch. Degree Courses in Engineering Colleges coming under the purview of the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Tamil Nadu.

(i) Seats in the Self Supporting Course in Govt. Aided Engineering College

(ii) Seats surrendered by the Self Financing Engineering Colleges

As a prerequisite for selection to B. Arch. Degree course the candidates should have passed the National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2009 conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

PROCEDURE FOR REGISTRATION OF APPLICATION FORM

Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the Examination centre, Anna University Chennai by paying a registration fee of Rs.500/- by cash (Rs.250/- in case of SC/ SCA /ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu).

Candidates can also obtain the application form by post from the Secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions by sending a requisition letter along with DD (The DD should be drawn in favour of The Director Admissions, Anna University Chennai Payable at Chennai) for the relevant registration fee of Rs.700/- (Rs.450/- in case of SC / SCA / ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu which includes postal charges) and an address slip to which the application is to be sent.

Candidates have to submit the filled-in application either in person or by Post along with attested Xerox copies of Mark Sheet(s), Proof of Age and copies of all other relevant Certificates to the

Secretary, TNEA, Anna University

Chennai, Chennai – 600 025 on or before the due date.

Candidates seeking admission under Special Reservation (except Sports Quota) shall submit a separate Special Reservation form along with main application by post or in person in the prescribed format available in “Information and Instructions to Candidates” with an additional fee of Rs.100/- in the form of Demand Draft for each special reservation enclosing the relevant certificates.

Candidates seeking admissions under Sports Quota are directed to submit their main application as well as special reservation form for sports along with the documents and additional fee of Rs.100/- in the form of Demand Draft to the Secretary, TNEA, Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai only in

Person on or before the due date. Such Applications received by post / courier will not be considered.

All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of “The Director, Admissions, Anna University Chennai” payable at Chennai.

The SC/SCA/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu desirous of availing fee concession should submit an attested Xerox copy of the permanent Community Card Certificate. Other state SC/ST candidates are not eligible for Registration fee concession.

UPSC – GEOLOGISTS EXAMINATION, 2009

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Geologists’ Examination, 2009 commencing from 5m December, 2009 for recruitment to the posts of Geologist (Junior), Group ‘A’ and Assistant Geologist Grade-I, Group ‘B’ in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydrogeologist (Scientist ‘B’) Group ‘A in the Central Ground Water Board. The examination will be held at various centres across the country.

Salient features of the examination are published herein for general information of candidates. For details regarding eligibility conditions, syllabus and scheme of the examination, centres of examination, Guidelines for filling up the application form etc. aspirants must consult the Detailed Notice of the examination published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 20m June, 2009.

2. CONDITIONS OF ELIGIBILITY:

(a) Age Limits:

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1″ January, 2009.

The upper age limit is relaxable for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes/Physically Handicapped and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 2W June,2009.

(b) Educational Qualifications:

A candidate must hold (i) Master’s Degree in Geology or Applied Geology or Marine Geology; or (ii) Master’s Degree in Mineral Exploration (for posts in Geological Survey of India only), or (iii) Master’s Degree in Hydrogeology (for posts in Central Ground Water Board only) from a recognised University; or (iv) Diploma of Associateship in Applied Geology of the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad.

(c) Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in Appendix-ll of Rules for the Geologist’s Examination, 2009 published in the Gazette of India dated 20,h June, 2009.

3. APPLICATION FORM:

Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices / Post Offices (specified in Appendix-Ill of the Notice published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 20″‘ June, 2009) throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty) only. Each such Form can be used only once and only for one examination.

In case of any difficulty in obtaining the Application Forms from the designated HPOs/POs, the candidates should immediately contact the concerned Post Master or UPSC “Form Supply Monitoring Cell” over Telephone No. 011-23389366 / FAX No. 011-23387310.

4. FEE:

Rs. 100/- (Rupees One hundred only) through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment of Fees. (OBC candidates are required to pay full fees).

5. ADDRESS AND LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS:

All applications must reach the “Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069″ either by hand or by Post/Speed Post or by Courier, on or before the 20,h July, 2009.

However, in respect of candidates residing abroad or in certain remote areas specified in the Notice published in the Employment News/Rozgar Samachar dated 20,h June, 2009, the lasf date for receipt of applications by Post/Speed Post only (Not by Hand or by Courier) is 27″‘ July, 2009.

CSIR-CASE 2009 – COMBINED ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES EXAMINATION

Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) Invites applications for COMBINED ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES EXAMINATION 2009 (CSIR-CASE 2009) – an All-India Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Section Officers and Executive Assistants, open to Indian Nationals only.

Minimum Educational Qualification

A Bachelor Degree of a recognized university in any discipline and successful completion of one-year Diploma Course in Computer

Age Limit

Upper age limit is 28 years as on the last date for receipt of application i.e. 15.7 2009, relaxable for SC/STI5 years )/OBC(3) years/PH/Ex-Servicemen and certain other categories as per Govt, of India instructions. No age limit for CSIR departmental candidates.

Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected through an All India Competitive ONLINE examination comprising a Preliminary and a Main Examination followed by an interview/personality test Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will be allowed to appear in the Main Examination. Shortlisted candidates from the Main Examination will be called for Interview/Personality Test.

NATBOARD – DNB Final Examination (Super Specialties) Theory December-2009

National Board of Examinations (NATBOARD) – an autonomous body of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India., will conduct the DNB-Final (Theory) Examinations on 12th and 13th December, 2009.
