Government College of Engineering , Amravati – M.Tech. Full/Part Time Admissions 2009
Government College of Engineering , Amravati invites applications for admission to 2- Years Full – Time ( FT) and 3 Years Part -Time ( PT) Master of Technology ( M.Tech.) for academic year 2009-10 in the following programs :
1. Structural Engg ( Applied Mechanics) Full Time
2. Environmental Engg ( Civil Engg) Full Time & Part Time
3. Electrical Power System (Electrical Engg) Full Time & Part Time
4. Thermal Engg ( Mechanical Engg) Full Time & Part Time
5. Electronic System & Communication ( EXTC) Full Time
6. Geotechnical Engg ( Civil Engg) Part Time
7. Advanced Electronics ( EXTC) Part Time
Eligibility : The candidate fulfilling eligibility requirements that are specified by Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University for admission to a particular PG program from an AICTE approved institution will be considered for admission to the respective programs . Minimum marks is 55% in Bachelors degree or its equivalent ( AMIE).
Admission will be effected according to merit list prepared on the basis of valid GATE score in the respective branch only.
When enough GATE qualified candidates in the respective branch are not available, the vacant seats will be offered to non-GATE candidates as per merit,
A written test shall be conducted for all the non-GATE candidates to fill up the vacant seats, if any , after admitting all GATE qualified candidates.
Admission to Part Time M.Tech. :
Candidates who possess Bachelors degree in the respective or allied branch of engineering / technology specified by the concerned University for admission to a particular Post Graduate course from an AICTE approved institution with at least 55% marks will be eligible for admission to respective courses.
The condition of minimum percentage of marks may be waived for those candidates who are teachers either in Engineering Colleges or in Polytechnics and joined before 20/09/1989 provided they are eligible for admission to that course as per University rules.
In addition to above, the candidate will have to fulfill the eligibility requirements prescribed by the University, if any.
The candidates must have minimum of 2 years of full time work experience in a registered firm/ company/ industry/ educational and /or research institute/ any Government Department or Government Autonomous Organization in the relevant field to which admission is being sought.
