NIT Srinagar – Filling up vacant seats in OBC Merit

National Institute of Technology, Srinagar invites applications for unfilled seats under OBC quota for admission to B Tech on the basis  of AIEEE 2008 merit, for the current academic session 2008-09 as under:

1.        OBC candidates with minimum cut off marks of 98 in AIEEE-2008 are eligible for admission.

2      If any of these seats remain vacant after admitting all eligible OBC candidates, these will be filled by eligible OPEN category students having minimum marks of 109. Therefore, interested eligible OPEN category students having minimum marks of 109 may also apply. The students of open category will be admitted against the vacant OBC seats (if any) on the basis of merit and will be allotted branch on the basis of availability and merit in open category, which will be done at the time of sliding (at the end of 2nd semester).

3. Interested eligible candidates in both categories are advised to apply either in person or through Fax No. 01942420475 on or before 30-10-2008 (3.00 P.M.), indicating Name, Fathers name, Mothers name, Roll No., Marks, All India Rank and Category. Copy of score card may be appended with application.

Display of list of successful candidates on website      30.10.2008 at 5.00 P.M.

Admission        31.10. 2008 from 10:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.)

Date of Birth Certificate

AIEEE-08 -Admit card,

Score card,

10+2 certificate,

Category certificate if applicable,

Character certificate

Fee: Rs 15000

Note Fee has to be deposited on spot, failing which the seat will be allotted to the next candidate in the merit)
