UGC NET December 2009 for JRF and Lectureship
The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science.
The December 2009 Session of the UGC NET Exam will be conducted on 27-12-2009 Sunday. In the following 77 Subjects

Last date for receipt of duly completed Application Forms at the respective Test Centres is 06-11-2009. Candidates should submit their Application Forms only to the Registrar of the university from where they wish to appear in the Test as indicated in item 10 below. The application must be strictly as per the prescribed format.

UGC CSIR NET December 2009 in Science Subjects Notification
The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for some Science subjects, namely, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Earth Atmospheric Ocean & Planetary Sciences jointly with the UGC.
UGC and CSIR will Jointly hold the 2009 December session of CSIR-UGC Test For Junior Research Fellowship and Eligibility for Lectureship (UGC CSIR NET 2009) on 20.12.2009 Sunday.
The current notification is for UGC NET under the Faculty of Science, which is for the following FIVE subjects
