The Sainik Schools were established with the primary aim of preparing boys academically, physically and mentally for entry into the Officer cadre of the Armed Forces. Admission to these Schools are through an All India Entrance Examination
Admission is confined to classes VI & IX for boys only. The standard of the Entrance Examination would be equivalent to that of Standard Vand VIII (CBSE) respectively.
The Entrance exam will be based on objective type questions which are to be answered on OMR sheet

The question papers for class VI will be set in English, and all other recognized official languages. But question papers for class IX will be set in English only.

my son is studying in telugu medium. is there a chance to write entrance exam in telugu .In exam for language testing , telugu language will be given or not ,please respond.
Exam can be given in telugu medium also but English language paper will be in English only dear

In case tamil nadu a class VI boy can take it in his mother tongue is tamil

for admission in sainik school 1st you need to clear entrance examination.
and you don’t need to take drop for sainik school.
