SCERT SSLC 2026 Social Science new pattern model question papers and answer keys

Kerala SCERT has released the new-pattern Social Science model question papers for the SSLC Class 10 Board Examination 2026, giving students a clear picture of the revised question structure and the wide range of topics covered from History, Geography, Civics, and Economics. The papers focus on understanding concepts, analysing sources, interpreting maps, and applying ideas to real-life situations rather than simple memorisation. To support systematic preparation, detailed answer keys are also provided for easy self-checking. All three sets of the Social Science model papers are now available for download in both English and Malayalam medium using the links below. 

SSLC Social Science new question paper pattern 
The Social Science question paper follows the new SCERT pattern and carries a total of 80 marks to be completed in 2½ hours. The paper begins with simple one-mark objective questions that test recall, matching, and identification skills. This is followed by two-mark and three-mark short-answer questions that require explanations, comparisons, reasons, and small factual descriptions. Higher-order questions carrying four marks ask students to analyse concepts, interpret information, or explain events in detail. Map-based questions are also included, where students must identify and mark geographical features on the provided maps. The final section contains long-answer questions (five marks) requiring deeper analysis, arguments, and well-structured answers. Overall, the pattern is comprehensive, covering History, Geography, Civics, and Economics, and encourages students to think critically.
