University of Agricultural Science, Bangalore, invites applications for admissions to PhD in the following areas:-
Agricultural Economics/ Agricultural Entomology/ Agricultural Extension/ Agricultural Microbiology/ Agronomy/ Crop Physiology/ Food Science & Nutrition/ Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Plant Biotechnology/ Plant Pathology/ Seed Science & Technology/ Sericulture /Soil Science & Agricultural Chemistry/ Horticulture-Re-Admission only
Eligibility
A Master’s degree in the concerned field of Science or an equivalent qualification from recognized Agricultural/Deemed Universities/Institutes recognized by ICAR in terms of equivalent course duration, with CGPA of 2.50/4.00 or OGPA of 7.00/10.00 or its equivalent. In case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/Cat-I of Karnataka State, a mere pass would be adequate.
However for (i) Ph.D. in Sericulture : M.Sc.(Agri.) in Agril. Entomology with specialization in Sericulture is also eligible, (ii) Ph.D. in Agricultural Entomology: M.Sc.fAgri.) in Apiculture is also eligible.
A candidate shall be eligible to apply for only one subject and compulsorily take Written Test for 90 marks in the concerned subject.
