I came to know about MOHAN Foundation, an NGO working in the area of promoting organ transplantation, in association with IGNOU, offering a one-year diploma programme in Transplant Coordination & Grief Counselling.

Eligibility
Graduates in the Sciences, Social Work, Medical Psychology, Sociology, Physiotherapy as well as candidates with a Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery are eligible to apply. In addition, graduates in any field with good communication skills and an interest in the area of organ donation can do the course.
The diploma programme involves training in counselling families of 'brain dead' patients to donate organs and coordinating the entire process of organ donation, retrieval and transplantation.
At the end of the programme, every successful participant will be in a position to work as the key resource person to spearhead trans plant-related activities. Placement guidance will also be provided.
