I completed B.Tech. in Computer Science. Is GATE score compulsory for admission to M.Tech Programme

Almost all engineering colleges/institutes admit students to M.Tech. courses based on the GATE score. In the absence of sufficient applicants who have qualified GATE, others will be considered for admission on the basis of the candidate's record in the qualifying examination. However, some of the deemed universities conduct their own entrance tests for M.Tech. Admission.
