Is GATE 2012 used for PSU recruitment?

I came to hear that Public sectors will be using GATE 2012 for its selection process. Please give me details on it.

Yes. PSUs like Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL), NTPC, and Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOC), public sector undertakings (PSUs) under the Union government are now using Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2012 for recruiting engineers in various branches.

PSUs will use the GATE score for short-listing candidates. They will be called for a group discussion and a personal interview. GATE scores are valid for two years from the date of announcement of results. More opportunities will come up in future at different PSUc
