Need to know German to do MS in Germany

I am planning to do MS in Germany. Is it compulsory to know German?

If you are applying for a course taught in English, it is often not mandatory to know the German language. However, it is always an advantage to know some German if you wish to gel with the people around you, to find part time jobs, to land good internships or more importantly seek employment in Germany after your studies.

not compulsory but you have to know general things my friend is in Germany he can guide you..........

yeah it is not mandatory, but i advised you to learn german before going there it will help you in interacting with the people and their culture. Also you can do some part time job to born your expenses.
