The criterion of fatigue means the symptoms by which its presence can be recognised. Since the fatigue is psycho-physical condition, its symptoms are both mental and physical. The criteria of fatigue are following:
(1) Feeling of exhaustion under which desire of work is noticeably reduced and desire to rest is clearly heightened.
(2) Muscles' power to contract and expand.
(3) Chemical changes — Changes in acetic acid and other poisonous chemical in the body of the worker.
(4) Nervous Slackness—i.e. nervous losing their power to react.
(5) Change in blood chemistry.
(6) Change in the mental condition i.e. deterioration of his mental powers and a loss of interest.
(7) Increase in the number of accidents
(8) Fall in production.
