I have got Phd in Agriculture and is associated an agricultural institute. I wish to apply for Tata Innovation Fellowship. What all are the eligibility needed to apply for Tata Innovation Fellowship?

i) The fellowship is open to Indian Nationals residing in India who are below the age of 55 years as on 21st November, 2013.
ii) The applicant should possess a Ph.D degree in Life Sciences, Agriculture, Veterinary Science or a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, Engineering or an equivalent degree in Biotechnology / related areas. The applicant must have put in several years of work in the specific area.
iii) The candidate must have a regular position in a University/Institute/Organization and should be engaged in research and development. If he/she is availing any other fellowship, he/she will have to opt for only one of the fellowships.
iv) The applicant should have spent at least 5 years in India before applying for the fellowship.

Is is necessary to spend five years in India before apply for Tata Innovation Fellowship? or is there any there way?

To be eligible for this fellowship the candidate must be residing in India, and must be below the age of 55 years as on 21st november, 2014 and the applicant must possess a Ph.D degree in Life Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Master's degree in Medical Sciences and Engineering or an equivalent degree in related areas.

1) The Scholarship is open to citizens of India.
2) The Scholarship will be given for the study of post-matriculation or post secondary courses.
3) Candidates who have completed their educational career in one professional line will not be eligible.
4) Students who pursue their studies through correspondence courses are also eligible.
5) All children of the same parents will receive benefits of the scheme.
