As you all know, there will be 2 stages of exams this year. Prelims and mains. In prelims there would be 3 sections totalling to 100 questions. English 30, Quants 35 and reasoning 35. My question is, is there a section wise cut off or only the total marks will be taken for shortlisting for mains? Because some people can score 30 out of 30 in English without any preparation but not in quants and reasoning. So, ideally there would be sectionwise cut off to select candidates with correct mix and match right?
And in mains, is descriptive qualifying in nature or it would be counted for final merit list? Also , would there be any cut off in descriptive paper too???
Thanks in Advance!!!
