The School of Civil and Building Engineering at the UK based Loughborough University is offering scholarships for its masters and postgraduate taught programmes. The school is one of the largest multi-disciplinary Engineering Faculties in the UK. It secures 5th position in UK for its Built Environment and 7th for Civil Engineering in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
The Loughborough University Graduate School International Scholarship is worth 25% of the total fee of £17,300. The scholarship is available for the full-time post graduate taught and degree programmes. In addition to this, there are also two bursaries offered by the School of Civil and Building Engineering for students pursuing specific post graduate degree programmes. The bursary worth £2,000 is available on MSc Low Carbon Building Design and Modelling, MSc Low Energy Building Services Engineering, MSc Transport, MSc Water and Environmental Management (Loughborough based) and MSc Water and Waste Engineering (Loughborough based). On the other hand, for the MSc Construction Management, MSc Construction Business Management, MSc Construction Project Management courses, the bursary provided would be worth £1,500 of the total tuition fee. Further, the Loughborough University International Alumni Bursary worth 10% of the total fee is again available on all postgraduate taught programmes.
Students applying for the above courses would be automatically considered for the scholarships. The students wishing to apply for the courses should have a score of minimum 60% in engineering, science, mathematics or discipline related to building services engineering.
