Kerala Medical/ Engineering Option Registration. Points to remember
#1
If you are a candidate submitting option registration to Kerala, Medical, Engineering Colleges, the following steps will help you to make the process much easier.

There are 3 ways to register option.. Medical only, Engineering only and both..

Before registering option, be well prepared, you should have a plan in hand with the interested options, the chance of getting them in the required colleges.. have a look at the last years cut- off's of the desired options in the interested colleges...

Be practical in selecting options, it should match with your rank. If your rank is average/ below average do not give all options in top rated colleges, include average colleges also in your option list

Last years cut-off ranks are available at http://cee-kerala.org/index.php/keam/kea...allotments. Please remember it can be taken only as a guideline, not as the last word. There are chances of differences.

Familiarize with the college codes and course codes. Each college and available course codes are available in the first page of option registration after login.

Be careful in creating the password. It should contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and special characters. Should not reveal the password to anyone. In the previous years there were cases of changing options with stolen passwords. Always remember to 'logoff' from the site when you complete the registration.

When selecting options save the selected options frequently with the 'save' button

You have the facility to alter the given options at any point of time before the closing time of registration.

Keep a printout of the option selection page.

In the allotment process, you will be given the best available option. All lower options will be automatically canceled. If you selected 36 options, and got the 9th option, the options from 10-36 will stand canceled. You still have the chance to move to a higher option in 1-8.

So add the 'easy-to-get' colleges towards the end. Then only you have enough number of higher options to move to. You can move to them at the time of second allotment.

If you have no interest in a higher option cancel it immediately after the allotment, else you have plenty of chances to get selected to that option

The way to remit the fee, banks accepting the fee, contact details of option facilitation centres and help desks are available at www.cee-kerala.org
