I have completed M.Tech(computer science).
I am working as a softawre engineer ,
I would like to register part time PHD in Computer science

pls suggest me
which universites are offered the same

The best option is to do Ph.D with IGNOU.. It will be best suited for you..

Please note Ph.D in Computer & Information Science is not available for January 2012 session... It will be available for July 2012 session.

For January 2012 session Ph.D in Information Communication Technology, Ph.D in Informatics & Knowledge Management is available in Advanced Centre for Informatics & Innovative Learning of IGNOU.

Eligibility
Category A: Candidates having M.Phil or 5 years’ relevant teaching/ professional experience, who can directly undertake thesis work for Ph.D. (Candidates under Category A could also be given coursework subject to recommendations of the Doctoral Committee of the Research Discipline).
Category B : Candidates who have to undergo basic Course Work before or alongside undertaking thesis work. (Candidates who qualify UGC NET, GATE of IIT, JEST of DAE etc will be considered under Category B)

Note: Candidates with Post graduate degree or other equivalent degrees recognized by the UGC are eligible with the eligibility criteria specified for each research discipline in the prospectus. For details of specific eligibility criteria discipline-wise, candidates are required to see information given under each discipline on the eligibility criteria, selection procedure, etc in the prospectus placed on the website www.ignou.ac.in

Last Date for submission of filled-in application form to the Research Unit of the University :
(i) 21st October, 2011 – for all programmes where there is an Entrance Test
(ii) 15th November – for all programmes where there is no Entrance Test
