Scholarship summary
“We are now calling for applications from bright, motivated Indian nationals with a strong interest in international trade who would like to pursue postgraduate study on the one-year taught MA in International Journalism Studies (MA IJS) at Hong Kong Baptist University starting in September 2013.
Candidates should have a good first degree, good English (preferably with IELTS or TOEFL scores to prove it), a passion for writing and journalism, and a strong interest in trade and business.
The Hinrich Foundation (http://hinrichfoundation.com/) provides a stipend that covers tuition fees, airfares to and from the home country, accommodation on campus, a monthly allowance and incidentals.
Applicants should supply a CV with details of their education, work and community experience and make it clear in the message that they are applying for this stipend. Interviews will be carried out in January or February 2013.
Each awardee must sign a binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), co-signed by a family member, that requires the Scholar to undertake – if a posting is offered – an internship and work for TWO years after graduation with either Global Sources (www.globalsources.com NASDAQ: GSOL) or the Hinrich Foundation. The work assignment will be in one of the Asian countries in which the Foundation has programmes.
