The Academy of Maritime Education and Training, Chennai, functioning as an extension centre of the Birla Institute of Technology (BIT) Ranchi, conducts a two-year full-time MBA course in shipping and port management. It focuses on the needs of appropriate management education and training in the areas of shipping and port management.
This MBA programme is designed to equip the students with adequate skills and knowledge in general management, information technology and specialisation in shipping and port management.
Graduates from a recognised university with a minimum of 50 per cent aggregate marks in any on of the following disciplines I such as business administration/management, commerce, mathematics, physics, chemistry, electronics, computer science/computer application/IT, marine engineering/nautical science, engineering/technology, etc. are eligible for admission.
