Four rounds of Personal Contact Programme (PCP) classes are conducted for the DD & CE students from the month of July to October for the Calendar Year students and from January to April for Academic Year students. Special PCP classes are also arranged for SC/ST students on need basis. During the occasion, students counseling are also arranged. Experts like District Employment Officers, Professors are invited to deliver guest lectures in connection with employment opportunities and personality Development etc.,
M.Phil. students are given counseling by the Controller of Examinations regarding the preparation of dissertation and choosing Guides. Pre-counseling and Spot admission meets are also conducted every year during admission season to disseminate information and provide counseling regarding various courses conducted by DD&CE at various places
For the benefit of students undergoing some course in affiliated colleges or Distance Education, useful job oriented and skill development courses are designed and they are permitted to do the course simultaneously. Among them, courses like Functional English, Spoken English, and Diploma in Personal Secretariatship are very popular and numbers of colleges are offering these courses to their students.
