what is the weightage of PUC/ +2 marks in IIT UG Selections ? more than JEE marks ?

What is the weightage of class XII marks in IIT JEE ? is it considered more than the score in IIT JEE ? if so how they normalise the scores? students are coming from different boards and so different evaluation patterns for Intermediate marks.

I dont know exactly, what is the current weightage they give for +2 exam marks... but the Govt. proposed a 70% weightage for PUC marks from the year 2011, that proposal withdrawn because of strong protest from student and parent community..

Still I am unclear about the current weightage of PUC marks, or is there such a weightage now ?
