The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) scouts for scientific brains for its labs. DRDO has 52 labs in India, of which Bangalore has eight. DRDO recruitment process is done through two ways:
1 .Open advertisements followed by interviews.
2. Recruttment at campuses.
Eligibility: 1. For recruitments at the campuses students with at least first class BE/B.Tech in computer science & engineering, electronics & communication engineering, mechanical engineering or first class Master's degree in Physics from recognized university in the relevant disciplines.
2. Candidates have to be within 28 years of age.
Admission test: Scientist Entry Test (SET) is an all-India entrance test for entry into DRDO. SET is a three-hour test which consists of two sections. Section A will have 100 questions to test the candidate's knowledge in engineering or science degree. Section B is common to all candidates, consisting of 50 questions to test one's analytical and quantitative techniques, current affairs and general awareness to assess the aptitude and scientific knowledge.
