i got 1600 rank in srm2012 and i will get electronics and communication branch in srm which is abet accredited .but i m confused weather to take mechanical or ec branch since i want to prepare for civil service exam in future....plz reply soon....

First at all congrats to achieve the 1600 rank in SRM2012. Now just look at me you are saying that you are interested in Mechanical and EC branch so don't be confused and go for the mechanical branch. The future of mechanical students are very bright and I think you will be allowed for the entrance exam of civil services.

I suggest you to go for ECE because it has got much wide scope than M.E
