If I am going to do a short term course in Canada for six months, am I eligible to work there?
Can I work in Canada while doing a part time course?

I think only full time students will get the work permit that too with several conditions. Only if you a have work permit, then only you can work there.

Of course, it’s generally up to individual students to make their schedules and choose the course load they can manage. After that, it’s up to you to find a job that can accommodate your schedule.

Of course, I am working in college in Canada i.e Pacific link college. it’s up to individual students to make their study schedules and choose the course that they can manage easily. After that, it’s up to you to find a job that can accommodate your schedule and help you earning side by side.

Foreign Nationals wishing to study in Canada require a Study Permit, and in many cases an accompanying visa.
Studying with a Study Permit: All Foreign nationals require a study permit to study at a Canadian Institution for longer than 6 months; The Institution must be recognised by IRCC; Visa-requiring Foreign Nationals will also require the underlying TRV. Studying without a Study Permit: In certain cases some Foreign Nationals will be able to study without a Study Permit, including those studying for under 6 months, minor children in Canada or the family members or staff of Foreign Diplomats. Best of luck,

I think so is possible to work in Canada while you study, it's just a few hours while you do it.
