UGC NET Exemption for Kerala SET candidates

Hello

I passed Kerala SET examination in 2000. From the UGC NET prospectus, I read UGC NET is not necessary for candidates passed SET exam before June 2002. Can I get this exemption from UGC NET for teaching in colleges ?

No, you will not get this exemption. Kerala SET exam is exclusively for selecting candidates to Higher Secondary Teaching positions. These exemption is available fr only candidates who passed the exam from some designated states and universities who had the option before to conduct SET exams equivalent to UGC NET, and Kerala is not coming under this catagory. So you need to clear UGC NET for teaching in colleges.
