I have completed BTech and wish to do MBA abroad. Is work experience compulsory to apply for MBA in US?

Most of the B- schools abroad demands for atleast 2+ years of experience to do MBA. If you are a fresher you may apply for MS in Management instead of MBA.

No, but in general, an MBA will not be worth much without the applicable work experience. Don't expect a $200,000/year job just because you are 23 with an MBA.
After years of experience and then getting an MBA you can get those higher paying jobs or after you have been working and already have an MBA but in many Fortune 500 companies, everyone has an MBA.

Work experience is an added advantage for MBA, but it is not mandate requirement for all the universities, some colleges prefer work experience some may not, but having relevant experience with good position will boost your profile.
