Eligibility for doing Phd in Biological Sciences at IISER

I have completed MSc in Environmental Science with 75% marks. Can I apply for Phd in Biological Sciences at IISER (Indian Institute of Science Education and Resaerch), Pune?

You are eligible as the criterai is 60% marks for General/OBC (55% for SC/ST) in M.Sc in any branch of Science –Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Biological Sciences/ & Environmental Sciences/ Biodiversity or equivalent.

You MUST have qualified any ONE of the following exams:

National Eligibility Test (NET) with VALID CSIR-JRF/UGC-JRF or DBT-JRF-A or ICMR-JRF or ICAR-JRF or BINC. Candidates eligible for INSPIRE-PhD fellowship may also apply.

OR

Must have passed CSIR-LS or DAE-JEST or NBHM or GATE or GPAT in last two years.

o For CSIR-LS rank-holders up to rank 200 are eligible.

o For DAE-JEST/GATE/GPAT rank-holders up to rank 500 are eligible.

OR

IISER BS-MS Dual degree students are exempted from the above requirement provided they have a CGPA which is greater than or equal to 7.0.
