Career options in big or small companies for software developers

I am a MSc holder searching for good job opportunities in software industry. I would like to know whether to apply to small companies or big ones will be better option?

If you are looking on to a job with fixed timings and not very important on the very crucial technical aspects of your job, you may look into big corporates. But to get more exposure to the minute aspect in technical area, you may prefer to seek jobs in small to medium companies.
