# Improves morale and motivation-A good leader motivates the employees for high performance, high productivity and stability in the organisation. Leadership creates confidence in employees. Good leadership itself is a motivating force for employees.
# Determines organisational effectiveness—Good leadership directs and coordinates the efforts of the individuals of a group towards the achievement of desired common goals. Without good leadership, organisational aims would remain unfulfilled, which may cause the death of the organisation.
# Helps utilising and developing talents- Good leadership ensures proper utilisation and maximum development of creative human talent for the benefit of the organisation. A good leader is instrumental in bringing about better utilisation of manpower because workers are induced to contribute their best.
# Acts as an aid to authority-The use of authority may not always ensure high performance. But leadership can obtain desired results because leadership provides the basis for cooperation among the members of the group. Thus leadership facilitates formal authority.
