Hi friends,
I have scored 91.5 percentile in Cmat this sept attempt and planning to give other exams as well. But I am confused between PGDM and MBA. Can someone tell me the difference between both? Which has more market value? I am working currently and would like to pursue my education at the same time.

PGDM is industry oriented whereas MBA is conventional and may not include recent trends. PGDM is offered by AICTE approved colleges and institutes. MBA courses can only be offered by University recognized colleges or institutes. MBA is globally accepted.

As the name suggests, MBA is a Masters Degree and PGDM is a PG Diploma. IN private industries, it does not make much difference (If the PGDM is from a top 20 Business Schools), but in Government/ PSU/ Banking jobs the situation is somewhat different. In most of the cases, they prefer MBA over PGDM/ PGDBM.
To be more clear, if you are getting into for a PGDM/ PGDBM in a top 20 business school, it does not make much difference. Placement is assured, otherwise do MBA.
