In December, you may start your work.Collect information from DAAD, interest and brochures. Attend counselling sessions.
January-March: Contact the selected university or ASSIST directly!
Application forms and other relevant material can be downloaded from the web.
Check the application deadline for the courses chosen.
Send the application form and other documents required for admission to the selected university/ASSIST. Make sure you have a valid passport.
Apply for a student visa as a soon as you have the admission letter of your university.
The German Embassy and the Consulates require proof of sufficient funding for the first year of study (approx. INR 350,000-400,000).
September-October. Make sure you arrive in Germany at least one week before the course starts. Contact the International Office (Akademisches Auslandsamt) for guidance.
October-December. Get your residence permit within the first three months of your stay in Germany at the Foreigners' Registration Office (Auslanderamt).
