UGC NET Qualifying criteria for June 2012 exam

What is the final qualifying criteria for qualifying UGC NET June 2012 ? I heard UGC enhanced the qualifying marks for UGC NET after declaring the results .. Is it true ?

There is a confusion regarding the UGC-NET post-result alteration of the Test’s qualification norms, but I think it is just a confusion only, nothing near to the reality.

For qualifying in NET examination June 2012 UGC specified that candidates in the general category score an aggregate of 65% OBC category is 60 % and SC/ST category is 55 % for all three of the NET’s papers to become eligible for lectureship.

The final qualification criteria is decided by the commission each time before declaring the result. The final qualification cut-off arrived at by the UGC was in relation to the top scores in each paper. The UGC website itself says..

“…the final qualifying criteria for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship shall be decided by the UGC before the publication of (the) result.”

So not to be confused about the final cut-off mark for June 2012 UGC NET exam, and be assured that December 2012 exam will have another cut-off percentage
