Diploma from a Polytechnic right ? Better you go for lateral entry for B.E/ B.Tech like that. Dont lose your core subject unless have some valid reasons.

Depends on your interest if you want to more salary then you should go for completion of your higher studies as well as for your career growth..good luck...!
