Phd Eligibility

Hi,

I am about to complete MTech(IT) through distance mode.

I want to pursue Phd in Computer Science or Information Technology (IT) through distance mode.

My education background is B.E in E&C and MTech (IT) .

Do i need to take MPhil to apply for PhD through distance mode ?
