The Central Institute of English and Foreign Languages (CIEFL), Hyderabad - 500 007, offers the following programmes.
Hyderabad campus (regular course):
MA English with specialisation in teaching English, media and communication (linguistics/ English literature and cultural studies); MA in teaching English/linguistics/ English literature/literary and cultural studies.
School of Languages Sciences: M.Phil, in English, linguistics, phonetics and Ph.D.
School of English Language Education: M.Phil, and Ph.D.
School of Critical Humanities: M.Phil, in English literature; Ph.D.; postgraduate diploma course in translation studies. School of Distance Education: Ph.D. in English. School of Foreign Languages: MA (regular) in Arabic, French, Russian and German; MA (distance mode) German, Russian; Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching of Russian, Arabic or German; M.Phil, (distance mode) Russian; Ph. D. in Arabic, French, Russian or German (distance mode).
CIEFL Lucknow campus: MA English, Postgraduate Diploma in the Teaching of English, M.Phil, in English. CIEFL Northeast Campus: PGDTE, Diploma in Mass Communication, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in ELT, English Literature.
B.Ed. English self-financing course.
Entry qualification: BA/MA with English with 50 per cent marks. Selection for the above programmes is based on an entrance test. Application form and details can be downloaded from the website www.ciefl.ac.in.
