The National Institute of Technology, Calicut (Phone:0495 2286110, 2286118) conducts an M.Tech. programme in Computer Science and Engineering (two years, four semesters). Those who have passed B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering/or its equivalent with a valid GATE score are eligible for admission. Sponsored applicants (with full pay) and children of NRIs need a minimum of 55 per cent marks in the qualifying examination.
B.Tech. degree holders in Information Technology or First Class MCA holders are also eligible, if they possess a valid GATE score in computer science and engineering. Selection is based on the GATE score. The admission of NRI sponsored candidates and their dependants will be based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination -

Those who are admitted on the basis of the GATE score are eligible for teaching assistantship/scholarships of Rs.5000 a month for 22 months.

Indian Institute at Technology, Madras, (website: www.gate.iitm.ac.in): Entry qualification is a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/ equivalent with valid GATE Score. The students graduating from IITs with CGPA of 8.0 and above for General Category and 7.5 and above far 5C ST category can apply without GATE score. A part-time teaching assistantship of Rs.5,000 per month will be given.
Those who are admitted to M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering under the
Atomic Energy Regulatory Board Scheme (www.aerb.gov.in) will receive monthly stipend of Rs.11,000 for two years and a one time education material allowance of Rs.5000. Selection is based on GATE score.

IIT, Kanpur (www.iitk.ac.in/doaa/admissions.html ) offers an M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering course. Entry qualification is a B.Tech./BE in Computer Science and Engineering with a valid GATE/UGC/CSIR score. B.Tech. graduates from IITs with an over all CGPA of 6.5 and CGPA of 8.0 during the last two semesters may also apply
without GATE score (such candidates will not be entitled to get the assistantship if CGPA is below 8.0)

IIT Kharagpur(www.iitkgp.ernet.in/mtech ) offers an M.Tech. Computer Sci¬ence and Engineering course. Selection is based on valid GATE score in computer science and engineering and candidates are eligible for assistantship of Rs.5,000 per month
The Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, (www.iisc.ernet.in) conducts an ME Computer Science and Engineering course; eligibility is second class BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering. Selection is based on GATE score only.


Pondicherry University (www.pndiuni.org ) conducts an M.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering. Selection is based an entrance test conducted by the University and Kochi will be one of the test centres.

Eligibility is BE/B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with 60 per cent marks (Applicants with GATE scores are given preferences).
