NETHERLANDS GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP
offers 4 scholarships to Indian nationals residing in India.
Fields of Study: Engineering, Computer Science, International Relations, History
Subjects of Study: Electronics/Computer Science (and Components)-(1 Scholarship); Coastal Engineering/Harbour Design and Management-(1 Scholarship); Historical and economic relations between India and the Netherlands with special reference to the Dutch East Indies Company; and Indo-indonesian Historical ties till 1940-(2 Scholarships)
Eligibility: Uniformly good academic record with 60% marks at Master's Degree in Science/ Engineering/ Technology/ Humanities in the subject/ related field. Conversion formula should be given where Grades have been awarded. Candidates should have a good command of Dutch/ English/ German language.
Age: 36 years (38 years for SC/ST).
Experience: 2 years consecutive teaching/ research/ practical experience may be relaxed up to 3 months in case of brilliant candidates. Also adequate knowledge of geography, culture and heritage of India and Netherland; 3 years consecutive stay in India after return from abroad for study/ training.
Value:
(i) A monthly allowance of FIs 1,130 for board and lodging, which is sufficient for one person;
(ii) lumpsum payment of FIs. 300 towards outfitting expenses for persons who have to travel to Netherlands;
(iii) Reimbursement of travelling expenses in Netherlands incurred in the course of study;
(iv) Exemption from the registration and tuition fees payable in Dutch University; academies of art and music conservators;
(v) Reimbursement of expenses incurred on urgent medical treatment which could not have been foreseen in the country of origin. As a general rule this arrangement does not include dental treatment.
Passage Cost: From India to Netherlands is payable by the candidate/employer/sponsor. It may be met by Govt. of India under special circumstances subject to availability of funds.
