The Mathematical Sciences Department at the University of Southampton (UK) is offering exciting scholarships to international students. The University is offering Mathematics scholarship, wherein up to £3,000 per annum will be awarded automatically to any full-time international student who is accepted on an undergraduate degree programme in Mathematics.
Apart from this, the University is also offering Golden Jubilee Scholarship, under which up to two scholarships comprising of the full value of tuition fees for the normal duration of study in Mathematics will be offered. These scholarships will be awarded to two academically outstanding full-time international students who have firmly accepted a place before the closing date of 1 August 2014.
Mathematical Sciences at Southampton is one of the largest mathematics divisions in the UK. Ranked third in the UK for the quality of research outputs in applied mathematics (RAE, 2008); it unifies study and teaching of pure and applied mathematics, statistics and operational research into one leading department. Renowned for its research quality, the Department is one of the broadest communities of professional mathematicians, students and support staff in the UK.
The duration ofMathematical Science courses at the University of Southampton, whichrange from vocation-related degrees, such as Mathematics with Actuarial Sciences and Mathematics with Computer Science, to Single Honours Mathematics and Master of Mathematics, differ from a period of three to four years.
