Am I eligible for gate exam ?

I am 2010-14 batch mechanical student . I have got detained in my second year first semister (due to medical reasons so there is a lack of attendece) though gi have promoted for the second year second semister and completed my 4th year also but now i got 2 subjects left(detained ones from 2 year 1 semester) whichi i will be completing by this december and i will get the certificate from my university as completed on january 2015 and the date that i have admitted to university is july 2010 and my supposed couse completion date is june 2014 but i will be completing on jan 2015. Am I eligible to appear for gate exam ?
