DEFENCE COMPETITIVE EXAMINATIONS
1. IAF Airmen Examination
Opportunity for ITI qualified candidates to join Indian Air force to become an Airman. Contact for details: Airmen Selection Center, No 1 Cubbon Road, and Bangalore.
2. The Indian Army conducts a competitive examination for recruitment of Soldier Tradesmen.

3. Indian Navy Recruits
a) Direct entry diploma holders
Eligibility: 3 yrs diploma holders with 50% marks. Can get a salary of Rs 8700 to 16,700 pm
b) Matric entry
Eligibility: SSLC with 50% marks. Can get a salary of Rs 4500 pm (approx) at the entry level. Total emoluments at present rates on completion of training of 6 months are Rs 5300 to 16,000 (approx) + perks.

There are plenty of doors open, if you show some determination and do some groundwork and follow up. Most important is that you must know the eligibility for entry into any course or competitive examination, the advertisement dates, whom to contact and when to contact.
Also note that you must never compare yourself with anybody. An NT graduate or a National Law School graduate have their own merits and levels, while you have your own. Every student is different, born with different ability levels, hence comparisons should be avoided.
