The Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysore, offers MSc. Food technology.

Graduates in science who have studied chemistry or biochemistry as one of the subjects at the degree level, with 55 per cent marks in the optional subjects, or a second-class Bachelor's degree in agriculture, engineering or technology, with mathematics as one of the subjects at the Plus Two or degree level, is compulsory for admission. Fifty per cent marks are enough for B.Sc. (Honors) degree holders. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) applicants get a relaxation of 5 per cent marks. Those who have appeared for the final-year degree examinations can also apply, but they should produce the degree not later than July 31.

For obtaining the application form and prospectus, send a demand draft drawn in favour of Director, CFTRI, Mysore, along with a self-addressed envelope of 30X25 cm size bearing stamps of Rs. 30, to the Director, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore - 570 020. The application-form format and other details can be downloaded from the web site www.cfrai.com
