Visa extension after studying at France to look for jobs

I am going to France for doing PG. after my studies to search for job; can I continue on student visa?

French government has recently changed their laws and introduced a new system whereby foreign students who finish their courses can stay back for an initial period of six months after their courses to look for jobs in France without any visa extension.
