Is it compulsory to take medical insurance form India to get student visa for France?

It is better to get a 3- month medical insurance from India as it is a mandatory visa requirement. After 3-month period, you will be covered by the French social security system. A reimbursement of up to 70 per cent of the medical expenditure is borne by the French state.
