To be an aircraft maintenance engineer, it is necessary to clear the Class-12 examinations with physics, chemistry and mathematics. You can enroll in any of the DGCA-approved AME institutes in the country. Basically, a student receives on-the-job training while taking the exams conducted by the DGCA.
